RESPONSABILITIES:

This is a volunteer position with a total time commitment of 200 -
300 hours, with the possibility of working off-site.
FINCA International, one of the world’s leading microfinance institutions,

Technology (IT) Intern who will report directly to the IT Manager and assist
with FINCA’s Document Management System (DMS). DMS is FINCA International
knowledge management system designed to provide access to all the news and
information for the entire FINCA Network. This site is intended to serve the
employees as a one step access point to reports, statistics, discussion boards,
network-wide calendars, contact forms, and a search mechanism for FINCA
electronic knowledge.
The site was developed in 2006 using Microsoft SharePoint 2003 platform.
The main responsibilities of the intern will be to:
- Assist the IT team with the site redesign following the recommendations of
the Knowledge Management Committee;
- Assist the IT team with the current site diagnostics and address the concern
on its performance. The current concerns are related to the home page loading
speed, the site coding, the search of documents in SharePoint 2003, the
document size reduction tasks.
Ideal profile:

- Experience with SharePoint Server Administration; MOSS2007, SPS 2003, and WSS
